There is no way i have only one favorite. Here are a few in no particular order
Prince of Tides by Pat Conroy
Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmer Bradley
Cat's Cradle, Slaughterhouse Five, Slapstick and Bluebeard by Kurt Vonnegut (his are so good I can't even choose my favorite)
The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice (my cat's namesake)
The Witching Hour by Anne Rice
Middlesex by Jeffery Eugenides
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
Harry Potter series by JK Rowling
The holy grail of books, Ulysses by James Joyce. You don't really read this book, you embark on a study of this book that takes years. I've been working on it ever since I graduated high school and I know I'm still missing some of his awesome allusions and references. If I ever finish I plan to give the same treatment to Finnegan's Wake.
I know I'm leaving out some. I love to read.
